PAK vs NEP: Watch - Imam-ul-Haq Pays The Price For His Poor Decision As Rohit Paudel's Bullet Throw Runs Him Out

In-form Imam-ul-Haq was run out for just 5 runs against Nepal in the ongoing first game of the Asia Cup at the Multan Cricket Stadium, Multan. The co-hosts of the competition won the toss and elected to bat first.
However, the Men in Green failed to make a good start with the bat. They lost both of their openers – Fakhar Zaman and Imam-ul-Haq – inside seven overs. Fakhar Zaman was the first to go. His knock was ended by Karan KC. The southpaw, who started his innings by hitting two fours in the very first over, departed after scoring 14 runs off 20 balls in the sixth over.
And four balls later, Pakistan suffered another huge setback when Imam-ul-Haq was run out partly due to his mistake. Sompal Kami bowled a fuller delivery outside off to the Pakistan opener and he hit it towards mid-off. The ball went straight to the fielder but Imam-ul-Haq still decided to test the fielder.
He set off for a quick single and Babar Azam duly obliged. But before Imam-ul-Haq could get inside the crease, a bullet throw from captain Rohit Paudel caught him short. The Pakistan star made a desperate dive to get inside the crease but still fell short. He departed for 5 off 14 balls.

Imam-ul-Haq has been in good form in recent times. In the recently concluded three-match ODI series against Afghanistan, the left-handed batsman registered knocks of 61, 91, and 13. He would be looking to bounce back in the next game which is against arch-rivals India on Saturday (September 2).
Pakistan make shaky start:
After losing both the openers, Pakistan will be banking on their skipper Babar Azam to steady the ship. At the time of writing this report, the Men in Green were on 63 for 2 in the 13th over. Babar was batting on 14 while his partner Mohammad Rizwan was batting on 24.
Pakistan are one of the favourites to win the ongoing tournament and they would be desperate to go all the way. The Men in Green have not won the Asia Cup since 2012 and will be looking to end their long drought for the title.
