Former Pakistan captain Mohammad Hafeez has taken a strong stance against ex-England skipper Michael Vaughan, advising him to refrain from meddling in others’ issues. Mohammad Hafeez’s response was prompted by Vaughan’s recent taunting of Pakistan in the lead-up to their match against New Zealand on November 3.

Mohammad Hafeez chose the platform of social media to send a clear message to Vaughan, urging him to address his own problems before involving himself in those of others. He emphasized that Pakistan is well aware of its challenges and is committed to resolving them. In his ‘X’ post, Mohammad Hafeez stated, “Better stop peeping into other’s problems and sort out ur disputes first. We have a sizeable insight about our issues and will surely resolve them @MichaelVaughan.”

Vaughan, on the other hand, used the same social media platform, ‘X,’ to express his concerns about Pakistan’s cricket team. In a somewhat jesting tone, he remarked that the atmosphere in the Pakistan dressing room had been strangely calm, suggesting that an unexpected resignation or a leaked WhatsApp message might be in order. Vaughan posted, “I worry about Pakistan tomorrow. It’s been too calm these last couple of days. They need someone to resign today or leak a WhatsApp message.”

Previously, Vaughan had also criticized the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) following the online leakage of Pakistan skipper Babar Azam’s personal WhatsApp chats.

Mohammad Hafeez Was Referring To David Willey’s Untimely Retirement

David Willey’s retirement announcement triggered speculation about the situation in the England camp, which is experiencing its worst ODI World Cup campaign. The fast bowler shared his decision through social media, expressing his deep pride in wearing the England jersey and explaining that the 2023 World Cup marked the appropriate time to conclude his international cricket career.

“I never wanted this day to come. From a young boy, I’ve only ever dreamed of playing cricket for England. So, with careful thought and consideration, it is with great regret that I feel the time has come for me to retire from all forms of International cricket at the end of the World Cup,” Willey wrote in his retirement announcement.

As it stands, the defending champions, England, find themselves at the bottom of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 points table, while Pakistan holds the sixth position and still possesses an opportunity to secure a spot in the semi-finals.
