India’s no-handshake stance continued against Pakistan in the ongoing Asia Cup 2025. Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav didn’t shake hands with Pakistan captain Salman Ali Agha before and after the Super Four clash on Sunday, September 21, and his teammates did the same.

After taking India over the line in Dubai, Hardik Pandya and Tilak Varma returned to the dugout, where they had a short discussion before the players walked together toward the presentation area. On the way, they stopped to shake hands with the umpires.

But then they took a U-turn to avoid Pakistan, as Salman Ali Agha was spotted having a casual chat with Mike Hesson near the presentation area, which is situated at the middle of both dugouts. Even Suryakumar Yadav didn’t mention Pakistan at the post-match presentation.

The Men in Green had cancelled the pre-match press conference, but the skipper, Salman, shared his thoughts on his team’s crushing defeat against India at the post-match presentation ceremony. Surprisingly, Pakistan took a U-turn and decided to hold the post-match press conference on Sunday.

Pakistan ignores Indian Journalists at the post-match presentation

Salman has given answers to the media after the team’s another loss to India in the ongoing Asia Cup 2025, but only to Pakistani media, he didn’t take questions from the Indian media.

Pakistan’s media manager once again didn’t take any questions from Indian journalists during the post-match press conference on Sunday in Dubai. The silence has raised eyebrows, with many questioning what exactly is being hidden and why they are avoiding Indian media.

Now, all eyes are on the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) to see if they will step in and address this growing issue in the ongoing continental tournament.

Salman Ali Agha says Pakistan is still hunting the perfect game

Meanwhile, Salman admitted that Pakistan is still chasing the perfect game. He felt India’s powerplay batting made the difference, but pointed out positives. He believes that they were 10–15 runs short against India.

Salman Ali Agha said at the post-match presentation, “We are yet to play a perfect game, but we are getting there. A great game, but in the power play they took the game away from us. Looking back at the position we were in after 10 overs, we could have gotten 10-15 more. 170-180 is a good total, but in the power play they batted well; that was the difference.

If you see the bowlers are going for runs, you need to change it; that's how it goes in T20s. There are a lot of positives—the way Fakhar Zaman batted, Sahibzada Farhan batted, and Haris Rauf bowled. Looking forward to the next game against Sri Lanka.”

Notably, India crushed Pakistan in the Asia Cup 2025 Super Four after chasing 172 with six wickets and seven balls to spare. Abhishek Sharma smashed 74 off 39, while Shubman Gill made 47. Their 100-run stand set the stage before Tilak Varma’s 30* guided India to another thrilling victory over Pakistan in Dubai. Earlier, Sahibzada Farhan smashed a fifty for the Men in Green.
