Pakistan, Australia To Travel To England As ECB Announces Home Schedule For 2024

England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) on Tuesday (4th July) announced the home schedule for the 2024 season. The governing body has revealed the fixtures for both men’s and women’s teams and as many as 6 teams will be there in England next year.
Coming to England’s Men’s cricket team, they will host Pakistan for four-match series T20I series at the fag end of May. Following that West Indies will travel to the UK for the three-match Test series in July. The action will continue as after that Sri Lanka too will lock horns with hosts in three-match series in August and September.

The focus will then shift towards the white-ball series against England’s arch-rivals Australia. The two heavyweights will lock horns with each other in the 5-match ODI series in September 2024. Here’s the full schedule of the Men’s Team:

Talking about England’s women’s team, they will lock horns with Pakistan in the T20I series as well as the ODI series during the month of May. After that, they will be up against New Zealand. The two teams will be facing each other in three ODIs and four T20Is during June and July 2024.

ECB’s chief executive officer Richard Gould talked about revealing the schedule of the next summer and said that they are looking forward to another memorable season. He also confirmed that England Visually Impaired, England Physical Disability, England Deaf, and England Learning Disability teams will also be seen in action. Releasing the official statement, he said:
“Next summer’s schedule will see England Women play at more venues and allow more people to see their heroes in action as we look to maintain the growth the women’s game deserves. Fans across England and Wales will also get to see our England Men’s world champions in action ahead of their T20 World Cup title defence, before three-match Test series against both West Indies and Sri Lanka.
“We can also confirm that our England Visually Impaired, England Physical Disability, England Deaf and England Learning Disability teams will all play next summer and that we are working to confirm those matches. We are looking forward to another memorable summer which is set to finish with white-ball series against New Zealand for our England Women’s team and Australia for our England Men’s team,” He concluded.
