Legendary Pakistan allrounder Mudassar Nazar has lashed out at the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) calling them "full of confused people".

Nazar was referring to the board's recent decision to appoint Waqar Younis as the mentor of one of the teams in the Champions Cup.

Waqar Younis was appointed as the advisor to the PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi a few days ago. But he has been named as one of the five mentors for the domestic tournament Champions Cup, which will be played next month.

Mudassar Nazar also spoke about the team's poor performance in the first Test against Bangladesh at Rawalpindi and claimed that the home team made basic mistakes.

In the first Test of the two-match series, Bangladesh scripted history by defeating thee Men in Green for the first time ever in Test cricket in 14 attempts.

Mudassar Nazar tears apart PCB

Speaking after the home team's horrendous show in the first Test at Rawalpindi, Mudassar Nazar claimed that the PCB is full of confused people who keep on making mistakes.

He cited the example of Waqar Younis, who was earlier appointed the advisor to the PCB chairman but has been appointed as the mentor of one of the domestic teams now.

"The PCB is full of confused people, and they are making mistakes after mistakes, leading to increasing problems in Pakistan cricket. "It is the result of confusion that is all," Nazar said.

"One day they appoint Waqar Younis as an advisor on cricket, and now he is the mentor of a domestic team in Champions Cup," the former all-rounder added.

Along with Waqar Younis, Shoaib Malik, Sarfaraz Ahmed, Saqlain Mushtaq, and Misbah-ul-Haq will also serve as the team mentors of their respective teams.

Mudassar Nazar on Pakistan's decision not to go with a single spinner

Shan Masood and team management decided to go with an all-pace attack for this match and left Abrar Ahmed out of the Playing XI.

However, the pitch did not prove to be favorable for the seamers as the home bowlers struggled throughout the match. Mudassar Nazar claimed that Pakistan must have known about the batting-friendly conditions in Rawalpindi.

"Everyone who has played cricket in Pakistan knows that no matter whatever anyone says in August, the pitches in Rawalpindi tend to become good batting tracks after the first one or two hours of help for the seamers," Nazar said.

The home team played four fast bowlers in the match, Shaheen Afridi, Naseem Shah, Mohammad Ali, and Khurram Shahzad. Most of the spin bowling duties were served by the all-rounder Agha Salman.

Their early declaration in the first innings of the Test match also came under a lot of scrutiny.

The Men in Green declared at 448-6 in the first innings with wicketkeeper Mohammad Rizwan left stranded at 171*. Later, skipper Shan Masood said that they wanted to move the game forward which was the main reason for their declaration.

The next Test will be played on the same ground and will begin on August 30. Bangladesh will be high on confidence going into the second Test and will be aiming to continue their form.

On the other hand, Pakistan will be under pressure and will be looking to end the series on a high.
