Pakistan's prominent women cricketers, Bismah Maroof and Ghulam Fatima, sustained minor injuries in a car accident in Karachi on Friday. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has confirmed the accident involving Bismah Maroof and Ghulam Fatima on Saturday, April 6.
Bismah Maroof and Ghulam Fatima sustained minor injuries in a car accident in Karachi. Fortunately, both players are reported to be in stable condition. They are currently preparing for the upcoming white-ball series against the West Indies women's team at home.
After the car accident, both Bismah Maroof and Ghulam Fatima received immediate first-aid care and are now under the medical supervision of the Cricket Board.
However, the PCB has not yet disclosed specific details regarding the severity of their injuries and the expected timeline for their recovery. Nevertheless, the board has assured that necessary medical attention and support are being provided to ensure their well-being.
"The Pakistan Cricket Board has provided an update regarding two of its women players, Bismah Maroof and Ghulam Fatima, who were involved in a minor car accident on Friday evening. Despite sustaining minor injuries, both players received immediate first aid and are currently under the care of the PCB medical team. Both players are part of the probables attending a training camp for the upcoming series against the West Indies, scheduled to begin on 18 April," stated the PCB.

Bismah Maroof And Ghulam Fatima Among Probables For West Indies Series
Bismah Maroof and Ghulam Fatima are integral members of the Pakistan women's cricket team. They are among the probables at a training camp ahead of the series against the West Indies starting on April 18.
Bismah Maroof and Ghulam Fatima recently showcased their skills in the ODI series against New Zealand. Maroof notably excelled with the bat, scoring a career-best 68 runs in one inning, while Fatima emerged as the top wicket-taker with six crucial dismissals.
The medical team will assess their recovery and fitness levels to determine their participation in the series. Pakistan will host the final phase of the ICC Women???s Championship 2022-25, welcoming the West Indies to Karachi on April 14 for a series of eight white-ball matches.
