Zimbabwe stunned Pakistan with an 80-run victory in the first ODI at Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo, marking another disappointing result for the visiting side. After restricting Zimbabwe to 205, the visiting team's batting collapsed against a combination of pace and spin on a challenging surface.
The match, shortened by rain, saw Pakistan's batsmen struggle against Blessing Muzarabani's opening spell and Zimbabwe's spinners. Sean Williams and Sikandar Raza proved particularly effective, dismantling Pakistan's middle order with sharp turns and bounces.
The visitors' woes began when opener Abdullah Shafique fell early, continuing his poor form.
Despite favorable bowling conditions after winning the toss, the visiting pacers failed to capitalize, allowing a crucial 62-run partnership between Raza and Richard Ngarava that lifted Zimbabwe from 125-7 to a competitive total.

To anchor the lineup and help provide stability, Rizwan is expected to play a role. Ghulam has played his part but will want to do well after not the best of opening games. Haseebullah's recent List-A strike rate of 88.34 brings aggression.
The middle order will be a mixed bag of reliability and firepower with Irfan Khan's versatility and Salman Ali Agha's. Aamir Jamal's all-round ability would also prove crucial for the Visitor's batting.
