The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has, on Wednesday, August 19, announced the schedule for Pakistan’s upcoming series against Sri Lanka and England at home later this year.
The buy's schedule includes a three-match T20I series and a two-match Test series between Pakistan and Sri Lanka. Apart from ODI and T20I series, there will be a Test series is part of the ongoing ICC World Test Championship (WTC) 2025-27 cycle. Pakistan to host Sri Lanka and England in a packed home season
The PCB has confirmed that Sri Lanka will arrive in Pakistan on October 4. Their first assignment will be a three-match T20I series between Sri Lanka and Pakistan. All three matches will be played at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium on October 9, 11, and 13, respectively.
The PCB said in an official media release: “The Pakistan Cricket Board will host Sri Lanka and England men’s cricket teams for bilateral and tri-series from 9 October to 21 November," it was announced today. Sri Lanka will arrive on 4 October in Pakistan.”
England join Pakistan and Sri Lanka for ODI Tri-Series
After the T20I series, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and England will be involved in the ODI tri-series. The tournament will start in Rawalpindi before moving to Lahore for the second half. In the opening match will see Pakistan face Sri Lanka on October 18 in Rawalpindi.
England will then play Pakistan on October 20, followed by the third match between Sri Lanka and England on October 22. The teams will then move to Lahore for the remaining matches. Pakistan will face England on October 25, followed by Pakistan's match against Sri Lanka on October 27.
Sri Lanka and England will meet again on October 29 in the sixth match. The top two teams will then face each other in the final at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on October 31. The tri-series will give all three teams valuable preparation and a chance to test their combinations before the World Cup 2027.
Sri Lanka face Pakistan in WTC Tests
After the ODI tri-series, Sri Lanka will remain in Pakistan for the important WTC series. They will play a three-day match in Islamabad from November 4 to 6 before the two teams begin their Test series.
