Pakistan Squad For U19 Asia Cup 2023 Announced, Saad Baig To Lead

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced the 15-member squad for the upcoming Men’s U19 Asia Cup, which is scheduled to begin on December 8 in Dubai. Wicketkeeper batter Saad Baig will retain his role as captain of the Pakistan U19 team for the tournament.
Saad Baig previously captained the Pakistan U19 team in a home series against Sri Lanka and Bangladesh tour this year. Before finalizing the squad, probables underwent a training camp at the Hanif Mohammad High Performance Centre in Karachi on November 24.
The U19 Asia Cup Set To Commence On December 8
A total of 8 teams will feature in the tenth edition of the event. Five ACC full members, including Afghanistan, Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka, with the top three ranked teams, namely Nepal, the United Arab Emirates, and Japan, will compete for the title.
Pakistan U19 are placed in Group A with Afghanistan U19, India U19, and Nepal U19 for the ACC U19 Asia Cup 2023. The Men in Green face the Nepal team in their tournament opener on December 8, followed by games against India and Afghanistan on December 10 and 12.
The top two teams from each group will progress to the knockout stage. The semi-final 1 set is to be held at Dubai International Stadium, and the semi-final 2 at the ICC Academy Oval 1 on December 15. The final will take place on December 17 at Dubai International Stadium.
