Pakistan National Cricket Team will be touring England for a five-match ODI series in May 2027, and the fixtures for the same have been announced. Ahead of that, they have a Test series lined up this year in the upcoming month, where the Men in Green will be facing the England National Cricket Team in a three-match Test series set to begin on 19th August.

The ODI series in May will be preparation for the ODI World Cup 2027, which is scheduled to take place later that year, in October to November, in South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Namibia. This will be a good time for both teams to try and test their best possible playing XI and also their bench strength ahead of the major tournament.

Pakistan and England up for a blockbuster clash

The series is scheduled to begin in Southampton on May 15. Then it will move to the iconic Emirates Old Trafford Ground in Manchester on 19th May for the second game, followed by Leeds (May 21), Chester-le-Street (May 23), and then the fifth and final game will be played at the Sophia Gardens in Cardiff on May 26.

Currently, the Men in Green side will be up against the West Indies for a two-match Test series. Babar Azam has been appointed back as the captain of the side once again after the recent failure of the Test side, which have made them sit at the bottom of the World Test Championship (WTC) 2025-2027 cycle.

Pakistan and England face off after five years

The last time Pakistan went on an ODI tour to England was five years ago, back in 2021, when they were clean-swept by the Three Lions as the hosts won the series 3-0.

Babar Azam was the leading run-getter in the three-match ODI series, scoring 177 runs in three matches, including an innings of 158 in the third ODI as Pakistan failed to defend a target of 333 runs in the final game of the series.

England and Pakistan are in contrasting form

Both teams are in contrasting form, as England recently won the series against India 2-1 and in the last ODI series the Men in Green lost to Bangladesh for the first time in Bangladesh. Before that, the Men in Green won the series against Australia.

The Men in Green are currently ranked fifth in the ICC Men’s ODI Team Rankings, while England occupy seventh spot. The Men's Domestic Cricket Calendar for the season 2026-27 was released today, and it will run from August 11, 2026 to June 15, 2027.

The PCB announced the upcoming domestic season will feature two List-A, three first-class, two non-first-class three-day, two T20, a U19 50-over, a U19 three-day, a U15 50-over, and a U17 two-day tournament, as well as District Challenge Leagues, Inter-District U19, Inter-District senior three-day, and School Cricket in 100 districts.
