Iram Javed has been recalled into the team after 2023. She last played for the team. against Bangladesh at Chattogram in October 2023. While on the other hand, Syeda Aroob Shah has also been drafted into the team after one long year. She last played for the side against South Africa in September 2023.

Uncapped left-arm fast bowler Tasmia Rubab was rewarded for her performances for Pakistan A. She also had sensational outings for Multan in the recently held National Women’s One-Day Tournament. She mustered 86 runs and took 12 wickets. She also took four wickets at an economy rate of 6.36 in the National Women's T20 Tournament 2023-24.

Pakistan Women's National Cricket Team will be undergoing a training camp in Karachi from 5 July and will continue until the side’s departure on 16 July. The PCB recently appointed Mohammad Wasim as the head coach along with Abdur Rehman (spin bowling coach), Junaid Khan (assistant coach – bowling), and Hanif Malik (assistant coach – fielding).

A total of 8 teams will be taking part in the Asia Cup 2024. The tournament will be an ideal preparation for all the teams ahead of the T20 World Cup. Under the new management, the Pakistan Women's National team would be hoping to change their fortunes and win the tournament. Since the last few months they have had few months as they faced disappointing losses and now be keen to make a statement.
