PBKS vs CSK: Mustafizur Rahman drops hint at MS Dhoni's IPL 2025 participation with farewell message

Chennai Super Kings' Bangladeshi left-arm seamer Mustafizur Rahman might have given a hint with his goodbye post that MS Dhoni could return to play IPL 2025. 

Mustafizur Rahman, who was bought by the Super Kings for INR 2 Crores during the IPL 2024 auction, has left the CSK camp to join his National team back home. Mustafizur will be taking part in Bangladesh's 5-match home T20I series against Zimbabwe with the 1st T20I set to take place later today at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury stadium in Chittagong. 

How did Mustafizur Rahman hint that MS Dhoni could play IPL in 2025? 

Much like last season, CSK and MS Dhoni fans are rallying into stadiums to have a glance at Thala, who is playing his final IPL season (possibly) this year. The Yellow army in the stands is flooding in wherever the reigning champions are going to play their away games.

We can expect something similar when CSK play their next away game against the Punjab Kings in their home ground of Dharamshala Stadium in Himachal Pradesh. People from New Delhi, Mumbai, and across all parts of India have booked their flights and booked their tickets (regardless of the price) to have a glance at Thala Dhoni.

Some might be seeing MSD for the first time, some might be seeing him for the last time. But those thinking that IPL 2024 is his last season might actually be wrong. Mustafizur Rahman, in his goodbye post on social media, wrote that he is looking forward to playing with Dhoni again and that line was the concluding line. 

Before that, Mustafizur Rahman expressed his gratefulness to be able to share the dressing room with Dhoni and for having faith in him and sharing some valuable tips. He posted a picture of him posing with Dhoni, holding a CSK jersey signed by the legendary captain.   

"Thanks for everything Mahi bhai. It was a special feeling to share the same dressing room with a legend like you. Thanks for keeping faith in me everytime. Appreciating your valuable tips, I will remember those things. Looking forward to meeting and playing with you again soon," Mustafizur Rahman wrote on his official X account. 

CSK fans have rallied in with their comments below Mustafizur's X post. Most of the fans are delighted to read the line "Playing with you again soon". They have posted various GIFs, expressing their excitement to come across the news.
