Permanently banned! PCB breaks silence on scary security breach during BAN vs NZ clash

Pakistan Cricket Board has taken strict action against the individual who breached security during the game between Bangladesh and New Zealand in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. The match between the two teams took place on Monday (25th February) at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium in Rawalpindi.
The game between Bangladesh and New Zealand in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 was marred by a spectator entering the field of play. It happened during the second innings when the Black Caps batters Rachin Ravindra and Tom Latham were on the crease.
The pitch invader breached the security and walked straight towards the Rachin Ravindra. The fan attempted to hug the batter but security officials came rushing to stop him. He was swiftly taken away from the playing area before the Pakistan Cricket Board took strict action against him.

The Pakistan Cricket Board released the official statement on the situation, saying that they talked with local security agencies and will be increasing security. The statement read that it's their responsibility to ensure the safety of players and officials.
"The PCB has taken serious note of the security breach that occurred yesterday when a spectator entered the field of play. Ensuring the safety of players and officials remains our top priority.
"As a responsible organisation, we have engaged with local security agencies, who have committed to increasing security personnel around the field of play at all venues and strengthening access control measures," read the statement of the PCB.
The individual involved was arrested and presented before a court of law - PCB statement
The PCB statement further read that they have arrested the individual who breached security and banned him from entering all cricket venues in Pakistan. They concluded that they will be making sure that such incidents won't happen in the future as they are working closely with security agencies.
"The individual involved was arrested and presented before a court of law today (Tuesday). In addition, he has been permanently banned from entering all cricket venues in Pakistan.
"To prevent such incidents in the future, the PCB is working closely with security agencies and venue authorities to review and reinforce security protocols."
New Zealand and India qualify for semi-final, Pakistan and Bangladesh eliminated from the ICC Champions Trophy 2025
Coming to the match between New Zealand and Bangladesh, it was the Mitchell Santner-led side who won the game comfortably. It was their second consecutive win in the tournament, and it took them to the semi-final of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.
Pakistan National Cricket Team on the other hand have been eliminated from the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. They started the tournament on a poor note as they lost the first game by 60 runs against New Zealand. After that, they lost to India in Dubai by 6 wickets. The Rohit Sharma-led side also qualified for the semi-final.
