Piyush Chawla goes unsold at IPL Auction 2025

Veteran spinner Piyush Chawla has registered himself for the IPL 2025 mega auction at the base price of INR 50 lakh. A right-arm leg-spinner, Piyush is one of the most experienced cricketers in the country at present.
He made his debut for Team India way back in 2006 and last played an international game in 2012. Piyush was a part of the Indian team that won the ODI World Cup in 2011.
In the IPL, he has been playing since the inaugural season. The senior spinner has played for four teams in the IPL so far - Punjab Kings, Kolkata Knight Riders, Chennai Super Kings, and Mumbai Indians.
Overall, he has played 192 games in the IPL and has taken 192 wickets. His career economy rate in the IPL is less than 8. In T20s, Chawla has played 295 games so far and has taken 315 wickets.
