Prince is back! Twitter jubilant as Shubman Gill slams his third Test ton

Fans on Twitter reacted after Indian batter Shubman Gill smashed a magnificent century in the ongoing second innings of the second Test against England. The match between the teams is taking place at the Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam. 

Shubman Gill has silenced all his critics in style as he made sure that he let his bat talk in the ongoing second Test against England. After failing in the first game and bagging a low score in the first innings, the batter made sure he set the stage on fire in the second innings. 

Shubman Gill, who looked solid in the first innings, made the opportunity count and slammed a magnificent ton. What was even more important was that he bailed the team out of trouble after they lost both Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal early in the innings and were tottering at 30/2.

Shubman Gill took a bit of time to get settled but once he was in, he made sure he counted the innings and played a big innings. The batter looked gorgeous to the eyes and played some breathtaking shots in his innings. He played the English spinners quite perfectly and put them under pressure. 

Even though Shubman Gill had his luck early on the innings, but he looked unfazed by that and went on to play a blistering innings. The batter’s best came during Rehan Ahmed’s over when he smashed him for one six and two consecutive boundaries.

Shubman Gill brought up his ton in the 132 balls and slammed his third Test century. Since moving to No.3, he has failed miserably but this innings would surely raise his confidence and would be great news for the team moving into the Test series. 

Coming into the innings, Shubman Gill was under a lot of pressure and also his place was under threat as well. However, he thrived under pressure and batted well. With the way he was going, it seemed that he would hit the big hundred but he perished after 104 runs off 147 balls.
