Former Mumbai batter Prithvi Shaw once again came face-to-face with Musheer Khan after their ugly on-field spat, which rose to a huge controversy earlier this week. The two players, however, shared smiles on this occasion with a reminder that the game may spark emotions, but friendship wins in the end.
The ever-controversial name in Indian cricket, Prithvi Shaw, once again made the headlines, this time on the field. The right-handed batter slammed a stunning 181-run knock playing for Maharashtra against his former side, Mumbai, in the warm-up game ahead of the Ranji Trophy opener.
The altercation was between Shaw and Musheer Khan, the spinner who got the better of him and then gave him a 'Thank You' send-off, which turned into a heated argument. The matter escalated so far that the umpires had to intervene in order to pacify him as the Mumbai batter walked out.

Mumbai Cricket Association had called in Dilip Vengsarkar to investigate the tiff between the two cricketers
Earlier, the Mumbai Cricket Association had reported that they had called in the former Indian captain Dilip Vengsarkar to investigate the tiff between Prithvi Shaw and their association cricketer Musheer Khan. Vengsarkar is often known as one of the toughest personalities in Indian cricket.
The Mumbai Ranji Team selection committee meeting was held on Thursday, and hence, the captain, Shardul Thakur, alongside the coach and the player involved, that is, Musheer Khan, was supposed to be questioned about what happened that day. Dilip Vegsarkar was supposed to be the advisor speaking to them.
However, no such strict action was taken, nor did the two associations inform on the stance of the two cricketers or disclose any decisions made within the board.
Musheer Khan to tag alongside brother Sarfaraz Khan for Mumbai's opening Ranji Trophy match against J&K
Sarfaraz Khan, the Indian batter who was not picked for the West Indies Test series in 2025, has been snubbed of a chance, mostly due to his injury. Having been ruled out since the Buchi Babu Invitational tournament, Sarfaraz is all set to make his Mumbai comeback with the upcoming game against Jammu & Kashmir.
The Mumbai Cricket Association recently announced a 16-member squad for the first match against Jammu and Kashmir in the Ranji Trophy, and Sarfaraz Khan is part of the team and is all set to feature alongside his brother Musheer Khan.
