Prithvi Shaw goes unsold at IPL Auction 2025

Prithvi Shaw has registered himself for the IPL 2025 mega auction at the base price of INR 75 lakhs. The right-handed batsman represented Delhi Capitals in the last edition of the IPL.

Things have not gone well for Shaw in the last couple of years or so. Not very long ago, he was being seen by many as the next big thing in Indian cricket. However, the former India Under-19 captain has failed to live up to the expectations so far.

Not only has he lost his place in the Indian Test team but was also recently dropped from the Mumbai team due to fitness issues. The IPL can turn out to be the platform where he can show his worth again and he will be hoping that he gets a contract in this year's auction.

Prithvi has been playing in the IPL since 2018. He has played only for the Delhi Capitals since then. Ahead of the 2022 mega auction, the Delhi-based outfit had also retained the highly-rated batsman. So far, Prithvi Shaw has played 79 games in the IPL and has scored 1892 runs with the help of 14 half-centuries.
