Arya was bought in for a mammoth INR 3.8 Crores by the Punjab Kings after seeing him dominate single-handedly for the South Delhi Superstarz in the inaugural season of the Delhi Premier League. He hit 6 sixes in a single over, just like the veteran all-rounder Yuvraj Singh did against England back in the 2007 T20 World Cup.

He went on to score a majestic 475 runs in the 17 matches he had played for PBKS, scoring his maiden hundred in the season with a strike rate of nearly 180.

Abhishek Sharma has also hailed Yuvraj as his mentor

The Indian superstar Abhishek Sharma, who has been the current opener for India in the shortest format of the game, has played invincibly for both the Sunrisers Hyderabad and the Indian side in recent years.

Rising to fame after the 2024 IPL season, where he scored 484 runs, building on great partnerships alongside Travis Head. He backed his 2025 season with another 439 runs while chasing down a mammoth total with 141 runs in an individual inning.

He has recently been mentored by the Indian veteran Yuvraj Singh, as Abhishek has cited the left-handed star as a great cricketer and has credited him for shaping his modern-day evolution as a fearless striker of the white ball.
