PSL 2024 To Take Place From February 17 To March 17; Final To Be Played In Karachi - Reports

According to reports, PSL 2024 is expected to take place from February 17 to March 17. Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is currently finalizing the schedule for the event. Pakistan Super League 2024 is the ninth season of the tournament.

Notably, Bangladesh Premier League (BPL 2024) and Big Bash League (BBL 2023-24) were expected to clash with PSL 2024. These are two crucial franchise tournaments where Pakistan players also take part. Hence, PCB doesn’t want PSL 2024 to clash with these tournaments.

BBL 2023-24 started on December 7 and will witness the final on January 24. BPL 2024 will be played from January 6 to February 17. Hence, the Big Bash League and Bangladesh Premier League will clash with each other.

PSL 2024 To Be Played From Feb 17 To March 17: Reports

Pakistan sports journalist Saleem Khaliq shared a tweet on X where he revealed the possible schedule for PSL 2024. He tweeted that PSL 9 might take place from February 17 to March 17. He also added that the final will take place in Karachi.

“PSL has been agreed to be held from February 17 to March 17, due to some reasons the initial schedule has been changed, the event is proposed to start from Lahore and the final in Karachi, double headers have become a headache for PCB. They are being discussed, the schedule will be announced soon”, Saleem Khaliq tweeted. Have a look at his tweet below.

PSL 2023 took place from February 13 to March 18. Due to multiple franchise cricket leagues around the world, some tournaments clash with each other. However, Cricket Boards try to avoid franchise leagues of other countries.

Recently, the PSL 2024 auction took place which witnessed many foreign players grabbing expensive deals. Lahore Qalandars, Karachi Kings, Peshawar Zalmi, Islamabad United, Multan Sultans, and Quetta Gladiators are the six teams part of PSL 2024. Lahore Qalandars are the defending champions of Pakistan Super League 2024.
