Things are not going right inside the Punjab Kings camp. As per the reports in Cricbuzz, it is learned that differences have emerged between the owners of the franchise in Preity Zinta and Mohit Burman, who hold the major share in the franchise.

It is learned that Preity Zinta has issued a restraining order against Mohit Burman for selling a portion of his shares to another party. The reports claimed that the Bollywood actress has filed an appeal in the Chandigarh High Court related to the same matter.

Preity Zinta holds a 23 percent shareholding in the Punjab Kings franchise through KPH Dream Cricket Private Limited while Mohit Burman holds the largest share, with 48 percent in KPH Dream Cricket Private Limited. Ness Wadia is the third owner in the promoter group, possessing a 23 percent shareholding, while Karan Paul, the fourth owner, holds the remaining shares.

Since the last few weeks, there have been a lot of reports floating around that the co-owner of Punjab Kings Mohit Burman, who is associated with the Dabur company, is planning to sell a portion of his shares. It is learned that he intends to sell 11.5 percent of his stake to an unnamed party and this hasn't gone well with Preity Zinta.

Mohit Burman, however, denied the allegations, saying that he doesn't have any plans to sell his shares of Punjab Kings. Speaking to Cricbuzz, he explained: "I don't have any plans to sell my shares."

Preity Zinta files case against co-owner of Punjab Kings Mohit Burman seeking interim measures and direction in view of the disputes and differences

A report in Tribune stated that disputes and differences are going on between Punjab Kings owners Preity Zinta and Mohit Burman. The Bollywood actress reportedly has filed a petition under Section 9 of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act-1996 seeking interim measures.

The report stated: "Preity Zinta said Burman holds approximately 48 per cent of the shareholding and is also on the board of directors. She has filed the petition under Section 9 of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act-1996 seeking interim measures and direction in view of the disputes and differences between her and respondent Mohit Burman."

Although the report doesn't give any clarity related to the same, the reports in Cricbuzz stated that Mohit Burman cannot sell his stake to an outside party before asking the existing group of promoters. The stake can only be sold to an outside party once the current promoters decline to purchase it.

So far there hasn't been any clarity about the matter as Priety Zinta didn't say anything about the same. Even Ness Wadia also didn't share anything but as per the reports in Cricbuzz, it is learned that the case has been posted for a hearing on August 20.

While the external matters are not good, the same things are happening on the field as well. The franchise hasn't been up to the mark with their performances with the bat and ball in the league since the inaugural edition. They have reached the final once and semifinal once. The franchise reportedly has been looking for an Indian coach in place of Trevor Bayliss ahead of the big auction later this year.
