Punjab had a strong lineup for the last tournament, but their all-out strategy did not work out, and they were unable to create an impression. Even worse, Mayank Agarwal, who has been their best performance all season, went through a significant downturn and was unable to bounce back.
Mayank scored 196 runs, well below his usual output, and was dropped from the batting order in the second part of the season.
