Basit Ali said that Kieron Pollard smashed world-class bowler Rashid Khan despite his limited appearances in cricket in recent years.
Pollard made headlines by smashing five consecutive sixes during the match between the Southern Brave and Trent Rockets. Pollard achieved this when his team was under pressure during the match. He helped the team chase down a 127-run target with one ball to spare in Southampton on August 10.

Pollard scored 45 runs off 23 deliveries with the help of two boundaries and five sixes. The right-handed batter smashed five consecutive sixes when his team needed 49 runs off the last 20 balls. Following Rashid Khan's over, the Southern Brave needed 19 runs off the last 15 deliveries during the recent match.
The middle-order batter was awarded with "Hero of the Match" following the Southern Brave victory. He has scored 155 in six matches at an average of 38.75 and an outstanding strike rate of 164.89, with a best score of 45. Pollard has smashed 10 fours and 12 sixes so far in the ongoing tournament in England.
Earlier, the Trent Rockets scored 126 runs for 8 wickets after winning the toss. Tom Banton was the top scorer with 30 runs. Chris Jordan from the Southern Brave took three wickets in the innings.
The Southern Brave is currently in second place in the eight-team standings. They have earned 10 points from five wins in seven matches, with a net run rate (NRR) of 0.595. They will face the Welsh Fire in their final group stage game at The Rose Bowl in Southampton on Wednesday, August 14.
