Rachin Ravindra Bought By Chennai Super Kings For INR 4 crore at IPL Auction 2025

New Zealand star Rachin Ravindra has registered himself for the IPL 2025 mega auction at a base price of INR 1.5 crores. The left-handed batsman represented Chennai Super Kings in the last edition of the IPL.
The top-order batsman became a household name after his exploits in the ODI World Cup in 2023. He left the cricketing world mighty impressed with the way he batted on the Indian pitches during the marquee event.
He finished the World Cup as the fourth-highest run-scorer, scoring 578 runs with the help of 3 centuries and 2 half-centuries. Soon after that, he earned his maiden IPL contract when Chennai Super Kings signed him up in the mini-auction.
In his debut IPL season, Rachin scored 222 runs in 10 games. Recently, he impressed in the three-match Test series against India. He was one of the only two batsmen who scored a century in the series.
The way he has played on the spinning tracks in India in recent times, it won't be surprising he gets a lucrative IPL deal.

Chennai Super Kings have used the RTM option to re-sign Rachin Ravindra for INR 4 crore in the IPL 2025 auction. Punjab Kings also went for the left-hander and raised the final bid to 4 crore that was matched by the Chennai-based outfit.
