Rahul Tripathi Bought By Chennai Super Kings For INR 3.40 crore at IPL Auction 2025

Rahul Tripathi has registered himself for the IPL 2025 mega auction at the base price of INR 75 lakhs. The right-handed batsman has ample experience of T20 cricket and it won't be surprising if he gets a lucrative contract.

Tripathi's journey in the IPL began in the year 2017 when he was signed up by now-defunct Rising Pune Supergiant. It did not take him long to impress the cricketing fraternity as he scored 391 runs in 14 games in his debut season.

In 2018, he was signed up by Rajasthan Royals. He played two seasons for the Royals, scoring 226 and 141 runs. In 2020, Kolkata Knight Riders signed him up and Tripathi continued scoring runs consistently.

In 2020, he scored 230 runs before scoring 397 runs in 2021 as Kolkata Knight Riders qualified for the final. In the 2022 mega auction, Sunrisers Hyderabad signed him for a whopping amount of INR 8.5 crores.

He justified the big price tag by scoring 413 runs in his first season with SRH. In the next two seasons, he scored 273 and 165 runs.
