Virat Kohli has been hogging the limelight on social for all the wrong reasons. While the batting superstar is enjoying yet another prolific campaign with the bat in the ongoing IPL 2025, he is garnering attention for his recent social media activity.

The former India skipper recently caused a stir on social media by liking actress Avneet Kaur's photos on Instagram.

Kohli has been in the middle of a few controversies

While there were confusion regarding the like with many even questioning the viral photos showing the like. However, Kohli himself confirmed that the likes were indeed from his own account by issuing a clarification.

The right-handed batsman clarified that he did not intend to like the photo and blamed the algorithm for the same, writing: "I’d like to clarify that while clearing my feed, it appears the algorithm may have mistakenly registered an interaction. There was absolutely no intent behind it. I request that no unnecessary assumptions be made. Thank you for your understanding."

Rahul Vaidya hits out at Virat Kohli's fans:

Amid the controversy, singer Rahul Vaidya has been busy taking shots at not only Virat Kohli but also his fans. Vaidya recently took a sly dig at Kohli for blocking him on Instagram.

"So, guys, Virat Kohli has blocked me. So I think voh bhi Instagram ki glitch hogi, voh Virat Kohli ne block nahi kiya hoga. Instagram ke algorithm ne bola hoga Kohli ko, ‘Ek kaam kar, main tere behalf pe Rahul Vaidya ko block kar deti hoon.’ Haina?," said Vaidya in a video.

Vaidya alleges Kohli fans of abusing his family

With Vaidya mocking Kohli, a number of fans of the cricketers have been busy taking shots at him.

And Vaidya has now hit back at the fans as well. Taking to Instagram, the singer slammed the fans for targeting his wife and his sister. He also went on to call Kohli fans jokers, writing:

"And now you are abusing me that's fine but you are abusing my wife my sister.. who have nothing to do with this! So I was right. That's why you all Kohli fans are jokers! 2 kaudi ke (worthless) jokers."
