Following this thrilling victory, the Rajasthan Royals shared a hilarious video on their official social media accounts featuring Donovan Ferreira. The South African batter responded to a famous tweet posted by Salman Khan about Preity Zinta, co-owner of the Punjab Kings.
During the 2014 IPL, Salman Khan had tweeted, “Zinta's team won kya?” after a crucial playoff match. Referring to that moment, Ferreira looked straight at the camera and cheekily said, “Sorry bhai, aaj nahi” (Sorry brother, not today), adding a playful twist after the match.

It's Not That Hard to Get That Score - Donovan Ferreira
Chasing a 223-run target, Rajasthan Royals needed 71 runs in the final six overs. Donovan Ferreira turned the game around with an unbeaten 52 off just 26 balls under pressure.
Ferreira received strong support from youngster Shubham Dubey, who scored an unbeaten 31 from only 12 deliveries. They took apart bowlers like Arshdeep Singh and Lockie Ferguson during the death overs.
"Yeah, I think it was a good innings. Just really keeping my mind nice and clear, exactly the same as when I was a kid playing with a toy truck. Just taking it ball by ball. I just kept on telling the guys, we need to be positive. It's not that hard to get that score. But we need to keep showing intent. We mustn't be predictable and just swing for every ball. So let's be calculated and play good cricket shots.
Rajasthan Royals got a flying start from their openers. Vaibhav Sooryavanshi smashed 43 runs off just 16 balls, including five sixes, helping the team reach 84 in the powerplay. Yashasvi Jaiswal then added 51 runs to keep the momentum going.
However, Punjab Kings fought back through Yuzvendra Chahal, who picked up 3 wickets for 36 runs in four overs and tightened the game during the middle overs. The momentum shifted briefly before Donovan Ferreira’s late counterattack turned the match again.
Rajasthan Royals successfully chased the target in 19.2 overs to seal an impressive victory. Earlier, Punjab Kings posted 222 runs. Prabhsimran Singh scored 59, while Marcus Stoinis blasted an unbeaten 62 off 22 balls.
