Ramiz Raja is unhappy with Shan Masood and his Pakistan team after they lost to Bangladesh in the first Test in Rawalpindi.

Pakistan scored. Meanwhile, this was a monumental win for Bangladesh who registered their first win in Test matches against Pakistan.

This was the first instance of Bangladesh winning a Test in which their opponent declared an innings.

Bangladesh’s 565 all-out in the first innings is now their highest team total in a winning cause. The Tigers just need to chase 30 runs in the second innings to win the Test match.

This was after the Bangladesh bowlers made a terrific turnaround bowling out Pakistan for 146 in the second innings after they posted nearly 450 in the first innings.

Pakistan came into the day on 23/1 trailing Bangladesh by 94 runs in the first innings.

However, they were blown away by the spin duo of Mehidy Hasan Miraz (4/21) and Shakib Al Hasan (3/44) who picked seven wickets between them to bundle Pakistan out for 146 runs.

Ramiz Raja's rant on Pakistan and Shan Masood

Meanwhile, Ramiz Raja, the former Pakistan captain was unhappy with Pakistan played in this Test match. He said Pakistan's decision to play with five pacers backfired badly in this Test match.

He further said that Pakistan have stopped producing good pacers since the Asia Cup match against India last year. He said that not playing a spinner was a boh mistake in the team selection.

“Firstly, there was a mistake in team selection. You were without a spinner. Secondly, the reputation based on which we rely on our fast bowlers is finished," Ramiz Raja said.

"This debacle, a sort of a confidence crisis, started during the Asia Cup when India bashed our pacers on seaming conditions and then the secret was out to the world that the only way to counter this line-up was to attack," Ramiz Raja further stated.

"Their speeds have decreased, and so have their skill set. The Bangladesh fast bowlers seemed more penetrative while our bowlers were involved in more drama around their wickets."

Since Pakistan did not have an out-and-out fast bowler on that track, even Bangladesh, with that line-up stood tall against our pacers with speeds around 125 to 135kmph,” he explained.

He further slammed Pakistan skipper Shan Masood for his approach with the bat. He scored six in the first innings and 14 in the second. Babar Azam too failed to live up to the hype around him scoring a duck in the first innings and just 22 in the second.

The second Test starts on August 30 in Rawalpindi. The first Test win helped Bangladesh to move up to the sixth position on the table while Pakistan have languished in the ninth position on the table.
