Ravichandran Ashwin has sarcastically protested against one of the fans who trolled him, accusing him of revealing the team's insights through his YouTube channel if he is appointed as the coach of the Chennai Super Kings in the IPL.
Chennai Super Kings have crashed out of the IPL 2026 season after they missed out on a spot in the IPL playoffs. The Ruturaj Gaikwad-led side is likely to undergo some reform; however, the biggest reform is likely to happen in their coaching setup.
Stephen Fleming has been part of the CSK unit since the inauguration of the IPL. Fleming might finally step down from his role; however, CSK remains in the hunt for a proper option to be swapped in as his replacement. Reports have claimed that not many have shown interest in the role.
Fan trolls Ravichandran Ashwin with vile accusations
Amid several speculations targeting the CSK management, Ravichandran Ashwin, the ex-CSK spinner who has often impressed with his great circling mind, has been offered as one of the innumerable options on social media.
While many CSK fans wanted the legendary spinner to join the Chennai Super Kings coaching staff, one of the fans tweeted, accusing him of leaking team insights through his YouTube channel in order to make money.
The fan claimed that anyone other than Ravichandran Ashwin could be offered a coaching role because he could announce the playing 11 on his YouTube channel to earn money through his YouTube platform named 'Ash ki Baat.'
Ashwin gets back at CSK fan with 'Anti-Corruption' claims
After the trolling, Ravichandran Ashwin has responded to the fan in a very quirky way. He has replied, saying he absolutely agrees to the claims and could announce 11 while revealing the team tactics to the opposition as well.
He then immediately added that following his revealing the insights, the Anti-Corruption Unit will take him to task, thus resulting in his own failure. He seemed sarcastic in his comments while targeting the fan who made such nonsense claims.
He then directly attacked the fan, claiming that he didn't know anything about the rules of cricket. He wrote, "Rules Kooda theriyuma engenthu da varinga (Don't you know anything about the rules, where do you come from?)"
Absolutely agree with you!

I will announce 11 and make sure the opposition know the bowling and batting plans as well.🤝🤝
In fact, the above will ensure that the anti corruption unit will take me to task & will also ensure my own failure.

Ashwin sarcastically drags MS Dhoni in battle with fans
After having made his point with the above-mentioned statement, Ashwin immediately added that in MS Dhoni's presence, why would Chennai Super Kings need anyone else to opt in for a coaching role, as the maestro can take charge?
However, it never seemed clear whether Ravichandran Ashwin truly wanted Dhoni to take over as the coach for the Chennai Super Kings or if it was also another sarcastic statement aimed at the audacious fan.
