Ravindra Jadeja dismissed by Pasindu Sooriyabandara’s stunning catch in India vs Sri Lanka Test
Ravindra Jadeja was batting at 9 runs as Lahiru Kumara came into bowl the 42nd over. In the 42.3rd over, the ball hit the top edge of Jadeja’s bat and was taken brilliantly at deep backward square leg by substitute fielder Pasindu Sooriyabandara. This was another failure with the bat for the veteran batter as he was out for 9 off 19 deliveries.
Pasindu Sooriyabandara ran towards his left and dived to complete the catch with both hands. Sri Lanka needed this wicket desperately as the lead had gone over 350 runs and India had complete control over the game. Jaddu did not have the best of outings in both innings as he scored 13 off 25 in the first innings.
