Ravindra Jadeja is best all-rounder in world - Michael Vaughan

Ravindra Jadeja has impressed everyone with his bowling prowess in the ongoing first Test between India and England at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad. The all-rounder took three wickets in the first innings helping the team to bowl out England on 246. Apart from his bowling performance, the all-rounder has also shown his prowess with the bat as he is currently unbeaten on 71 and India is leading by 142 runs in the match.

Former England skipper Michael Vaughan has lauded Ravindra Jadeja for his terrific performance against England with both bat and ball. Ravindra Jadeja is currently the No.1 all-rounder in Test cricket as per the ICC rankings. He has been in terrific form and has played some of his best cricket in recent times for India across formats. Jadeja, alongside Ravichandran Ashwin, has formed the most successful bowling pair for India in Test cricket as the duo has taken 505 wickets together.

The Indian all-rounder has been one of the best in red-ball cricket and has shown his potential in all three departments. He smashed his 20th Test fifty against England on day 2 of the first Test in Hyderabad. Ravindra Jadeja is currently on the crease cruising towards his hundred. Michael Vaughan has called Ravindra Jadeja as the best all-rounder at the moment and his statement is apt as he is currently the No.1 Test all-rounder in the ICC rankings.

Ravindra Jadeja has amassed 2877 runs in Test cricket in just 100 innings at an average of 36.88 which includes 20 half-centuries and three centuries. With the ball, he has taken 278 wickets at an average of 24.13 with 12 five-wicket hauls to his name in the longest format in 129 innings. He is the No.1 ranked Test all-rounder at the moment and is also the No.6 bowler in the ICC rankings, holding the ICC top 10 position in two criteria.

India has not lost any home Test series in the last 12 years with the last defeat coming against England in 2012. They have won 16 consecutive home series and have been completely dominant at home.
