Another milestone in his spectacular career for Ravindra Jadeja. With the much-needed breakthrough of John Campbell on Day 4, Ravindra Jadeja became the third-highest wicket-taker for India on home soil, surpassing former legend Harbhajan Singh.

India has dominated in Test cricket since the England series, despite the retirement of three of their most experienced cricketers. The reason for this success might be India's team effort since all have contributed in some way or the other to India's success, but if one name overlaps in all these sets, it is of all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja.

The left-arm spinner was in commanding form with the bat in the England tour, where he amassed 500+ with the highest average in the series and also picked 7 wickets with the ball. Jadeja served as India's backbone every time the young team floundered in front of the English side.

Ravindra Jadeja breaks into the Top 3 among elite Indian bowlers

The left-arm spinner achieved a unique feat during the second Test against the West Indies, when he dismissed John Campbell for 115. He surpassed Harbhajan Singh to become the third-highest wicket-taker for India in international cricket for India on home soil.

The dismissal had ended the giant 177-run partnership for the third wicket between John Campbell and Shai Hope. Later, Hope too got to his hundred as the visitors for the first time took a lead against India in the series.

Harbhajan Singh previously held the number three spot with 376 wickets at home; Jadeja, with this wicket, now has 377* wickets to his name. He joined the top three with the likes of Indian legends Ravichandran Ashwin (475) and Anil Kumble (476).

Ravindra Jadeja ends as the third-highest wicket-taker in the India vs West Indies series

Considering Ravindra Jadeja's current form in the longest format of the game and the all-rounder revisiting his prime at the age of 36, he is likely to play further for India in the red-ball format without any probability of retirement.

Coming into the West Indies Test series, Jadeja started off with a spectacular century in the first Test at Ahmedabad and then also picked 4 wickets in the second innings of the game. His further 3 wickets in the first innings of the Second Test and the wicket of Campbell make him the third-highest wicket-taker in the series behind Kuldeep Yadav (12) and Mohammed Siraj (10).

At tea, the Windies exercised a lead of 91 runs against the Indian side in their second innings after sustaining a follow-on. They have saved some honor for themselves.

Campbell-Hope led as the West Indies posted a considerable lead in the second innings

When John Campbell and Shai Hope were batting on the crease until this morning and got to their respective hundreds, the Windies looked well in control, only to lose it once the two set batters were dismissed.

Skipper Roston Chase, too, made a generous contribution with his 40 runs before being dismissed off Kuldeep Yadav. Justin Greaves and Jayden Seales' last wicket partnership helped West Indies post a target that could give some batting practice for the Indian openers.

At Tea, the West Indies led India by a total of 91 runs in their innings, with Greaves batting on 35* alongside Seales on 18*.
