Sneh Rana roped in by RCB as an injury replacement for Shreyanka Patil

Shreyanka was the top performer for Royal Challengers Bengaluru Women in the Women's Premier League (WPL) 2024. She bagged 13 wickets in 8 matches at an average of 12.07, an economy of 7.30, and a strike rate of 9.9 to win the purple cap.

Shreyanka played a key role in the success of the franchise and helped the RCB-W lift their first-ever championship as well. Overall, she has played 15 matches in WPL and has bagged 19 wickets while scoring 81 runs.

Notably, Shreyanka Patil has been ruled out of the third edition of the WPL due to an injury, and to deal with her absence, the Royal Challengers Bengaluru Women have roped in Sneh Rana.

Sneh Rana is quite an experienced all-rounder and has previously captained the Gujarat Giants Women in the Women's Premier League as well.

She was shockingly unsold at the Women's Premier League auction, but now the 30-year-old has been roped in by RCB-W for INR 30 lakh. Overall, Rana has played 12 matches in the league and has picked up 6 wickets while scoring 47 runs.

The defending champions have lost several key players for the Women's Premier League 2025. Along with Shreyanka, Sophie Devine (unavailable), Kate Cross, Asha Sobhana, and Sophie Molineux (all injured) will be missing the tournament.

However, despite the absence of major players, the Smriti Mandhana-led side started off their campaign on a positive note by beating Gujarat Giants Women by 6 wickets as they completed the 202-run chase, thanks to the middle-order batting efforts.
