Shreyanka Patil is a spectacular spinner who has gained a lot of limelight in the last two years. The off-spinner first grabbed the limelight when she ended as the top wicket-taker in the Caribbean Premier League 2023.
Shreyanka Patil is a right-arm off-spinner and a right-handed batter. However, she is known for her lethal spin attack and is a full-time spinner. She picked a four-wicket haul in the WPL 2024 final to drive Royal Challengers Bengaluru Women to victory.
Shreyanka Patil is an emerging spinner in the India Women's Team. She made her international debut in 2023 and has only played a handful of T20Is and ODIs so for the national side. However, she has impressed everyone with his fabulous spin attack and also captured brilliant bowling figures in some games.
Early and Personal Life
Shreyanka Patil was born in Bengaluru City in Karnataka on July 31, 2002. His father Rajesh Patil runs a cricket academy in Bengaluru and supported her daughter to pursue cricket in her childhood.
She grew up in Bengaluru with his brother Adarsh Patil and sister Bhoomika Patil. She was trained by her childhood coach Arjun Dev in her initial days.
Domestic Career
Shreyanka Patil trained at NICE Cricket Associations in Karnataka with her coach Arjun Dev. She was a medium-pacer at the start but shifted to off-spin later. She played a lot of cricket in local club matches in Karnataka and gained the limelight of many state selectors. In 2019, she got her break in the Karnataka State Team.
International Career
Shreyanka Patil is one of India's Women's players who gained the limelight from her impressive shows in the franchise T20I league and eventually made her international debut.
The young spinner made her international debut in December 2023 with a T20I match against England. In the same month, she also made her ODI debut in a clash against Australia Women. The off-spinner is a new addition to the India Women's Team and has only played 3 ODIs and 12 T20Is.
Franchise Career
Shreyanka Patil has made a name for herself in the franchise cricket. The right-arm off-spinner played for Guyana Amazon Warriors in the Caribbean Premier League 2023 and finished as the highest wicket-taker.
She also won the purple cap in WPL 2024 after ending as the top wicket-taker for Royal Challengers Bengaluru. Notably, RCB Women also won the title and Patil played a big role in leading the team to the title.
