Royal Challengers Bengaluru will take on Chennai Super Kings in their second match of IPL 2025 at the MA Chindembram stadium in Chennai on March 28. The Rajat Patidar-led side will look to continue the winning momentum against CSK

RCB started their new era under captain Rajat Patidar on a positive note after registering a come-from-behind win in the season opener against KKR at the Eden Gardens after the defending champions got off to a flier.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru restricted the opposition to a chasable total of 174 after the Ajinkya Rahane-led side notched up 100 runs in 10 overs courtesy of a three-wicket haul from RCB's new recruit for IPL 2025 Krunal Pandya who broke the back of KKR's middle order.

It will be a test by spin for both CSK and RCB on a slow and sluggish surface at Chepauk with both teams comprising of some quality spin bowling option. Other than the bowlers the onus will be on Bengaluru's strong batting lineup,

We will be taking a look at the possible playing 11 of Royal Challengers Bengaluru for the important CSK vs RCB clash of IPL 2025

RCB Playing 11 vs CSK- IPL 2025, Match 8:

Openers: Phil Salt, Virat Kohli

Like always a lot will depend on former captain Virat Kohli and Phil Salt. The duo gave Royal Challengers Bengaluru an explosive start in the first game against KKR and will look to replicate the same against spin-heavy CSK.

Phil Salt who was picked by Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the mega auction last year scored a fifty on his debut for RCB and gave the team a platform to accomplish the chase with relative ease.

Virat Kohli who opened with Salt looked busy at the crease and was aggressive in his strokeplay. The right-hander scored his 98th T20 half-century in his 400th T20 match while remaining unbeaten.

Middle Order Batters: Devdutt Padikkal, Rajat Patidar, Liam Livingstone, Jitesh Sharma, Krunal Pandya

Devdutt Padikkal who batted at number three against KKR will play a crucial role in the CSK vs RCB match along with Rajat Patidar who is known for playing spin well in tackling the trio of Ravichandran Ashwin, Noor Ahmad, and Ravindra Jadeja.

While all-rounders Liam Livingstone, Krunal Pandya, and wicketkeeper Jeetesh Sharma make for a solid lower-middle order which can take the game away from CSK.

Bowlers: Suyash Sharma, Yash Dayal Rasikh Dar Salam, Josh Hazlewood

Like Noor Ahmed for CSK, Royal Challengers Bengaluru also has a leg-spinning option in the form of Suyash Sharma who has played a couple of IPL seasons so far with KKR. Although Suyash was expensive against KKR he ended up picking the wicket of Andre Russell.

The fast bowling department will be taken care of by Yash Dayal, Rasikh Dar Salam, and Josh Hazlewood who was impressive with the new ball and bowled economically against KKR
