One of the most talked-about teams based on their performance this year, the Royal Challengers Bengaluru, has finally broken the jinx of 17 years and clinched an IPL trophy.

RCB, under new captain Rajat Patidar, was able to win games from situations that were quite challenging, and nobody expected the team to turn things around as was the case in most of the previous seasons.

This new look team was successful in covering all bases, and most importantly, every player knew his role, which made things easy for them this season.

Players like Virat Kohli, Philip Salt, Devdutt Paddikal, and Rajat Patidar took the responsibility to control the top and middle order, while the likes of Jitesh Sharma and Tim David fulfilled their role as finishers.

As far as RCB's bowling department is concerned, it performed exceedingly well, especially in away games, with Hazlewood being the pick of the bowlers.

The Australian fast bowler picked up wickets in all phases of the innings and was exceptional in the final five overs, which was a cause of concern for Bangalore in the past.

Hazlewood was well supported by Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Yash Dayal, both of whom put their hands up when the team needed.

The duo of Hazlewood and Bhuvneshwar Kumar grabbed everyone's attention with their exemplary bowling in the final stage of RR's innings in Jaipur.

As for Yash Dayal, the season was a mixed bag as he managed to pick up wickets but was a bit expensive.

Having said that, the fast bowler from Uttar Pradesh delivered a match-winning performance against the Punjab Kings in the first qualifier.

Dayal picked up wickets with the new ball in the first six overs, which dented Punjab's hopes of posting a big total on the board.

If we talk about RCB's spin department, it was taken care of by experienced left-arm spinner Krunal Pandya and young leg spinner Suyash Sharma, who, like Daya,l delivered when it mattered the most.

The pair picked up wickets in the middle overs and stemmed the flow of runs for the opposition, which made things easy for the fast bowlers at the backend of the innings.

In addition to his bowling, Krunal also made match match-winning contribution against Delhi with the bat as he scored a gritty half-century and formed a crucial partnership with Virat Kohli after surviving a testing spell.

The only blip in RCB's IPL 2025 was their performance at home, as they couldn't find a way to win matches at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium.
