Former all-rounder Irfan Pathan has urged the fans in Bengaluru to turn up to the M. Chinnaswamy in large numbers to witness MS Dhoni for the last time.

On May 18th, Saturday, we might see MS Dhoni play his final IPL league stage match against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the Chinnaswamy. The former Chennai Super Kings is possibly in his final season in the Indian Premier League circuit and it will be interesting to see if CSK gives a fitting send-off to MSD.

The best way for all the CSK players to bid their goodbye to MS Dhoni will be by winning the franchise's 6th IPL title. In order to do so, Ruturaj Gaikwad and co. will have to play their best brand of cricket this season and they only have a chance to reach the play-offs. A win against the RCB will definitely book their ticket for the last stage of the league.

Irfan Pathan says MS Dhoni Vs Virat Kohli will be a joy to watch

While speaking to Star Sports recently, Irfan Pathan expressed his excitement to see MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli go against each other for one last time. Pathan explained that when two of the World's biggest cricketing icons collide, it doesn't get any better and that there's no better match-up than this.

Irfan Pathan then highlighted MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli's qualities that they bring to the table. While Kohli is high on momentum and has the Orange Cap over his head with an improved strike rate, MSD's charismatic character is enough itself.

Pathan then indicated that since MS Dhoni will play the final league game of his IPL career, the passionate fans in Bengaluru must turn up in large numbers.

"See when two cricketing icons of India and the World - collide against each other, then you won't find a better match-up than this. On one side there's Mahendra Singh Dhoni and on the other side there's Virat Kohli who has picked up a solid momentum, has the Orange Cap on his head, has a good strike rate."

"Then MS Dhoni brings his own charisma and in Bengaluru there are passionate fans and he might as well play his final game over there you never know." - Irfan Pathan said via Star Sports.

Pathan says the quality of cricket is going to be amazing

Irfan Pathan further added that if the surface in Bengaluru is good, then the quality of cricket will also increase. Since the play-off qualification stakes are so high, the match-up between CSK and RCB is going to be very intense and it will be nothing less than a massive carnival.

"It's going to be an amazing match-up, it's going to be highly intense and at the same time if the pitch remains good, then a great quality of cricket will also be on display." - Irfan Pathan concluded.
