Delhi Capitals (DC) pacer Khaleel Ahmed played a vital role for his team in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 game against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB). The game between the two teams is taking place at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

Dinesh Karthik failed to get going as he bagged his 18th duck in the IPL. He became the batter with the most ducks in the history of the league. After his wicket, Royal Challengers Bengaluru couldn't finish the innings on high as they managed only 187 runs on the board.

Earlier, Rajat Patidar played a vital innings for his team. He scored 52 runs and put his team in a strong position. Apart from him, Will Jacks played a crucial innings of 41 runs off 29 balls and Cameron Green scored an unbeaten 32 runs to take the team to a fighting total.

Rajat Patidar opened up about his innings with the bat. He stated that he needed to be smarter with his shot selection. The batter also talked about the pitch and was confident about Royal Challengers Bengaluru defending the target. Speaking to broadcasters, he stated:

"Wicket was two-paced when I went in. The ball was holding, especially the slower ball. Have been smarter in selecting which bowlers to go after in the last few games. I try my best to read it from the hand. This target is defendable. Can defend easily if we bowl in good areas," he concluded

Royal Challengers Bengaluru have started off pretty well with the ball. They have picked 4 early wickets and are now looking like favorites to win the game, They would want to finish the game early and keep themselves alive in IPL 2024.
