RCB vs GT: Andy Flower issues 'RCB can reach playoffs' warning to all IPL teams

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) head coach Andy Flower is confident about his team making it to the playoffs in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 season. Andy Flower stated that they will win the remaining matches and secure a playoff berth in the ongoing T20 tournament.
The Bengaluru team started the season on a poor note as they suffered seven losses in their first eight matches. They lost six matches in a row before winning their last two matches against SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Gujarat Titans (GT). They are currently at the bottom of the table with three wins.
The Faf du Plessis-led team defeated the Gujarat Titans in their previous match at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. They chased down a 201-run target by nine wickets with four wickets to spare. Will Jacks scored his maiden IPL century, scoring 100 runs off 41 balls with five fours and 10 sixes.
The Bengaluru-based team will face the Shubman Gill-led side again at their home ground, M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, on Saturday, May 4. The upcoming match is crucial for both teams to boost their playoff chances. The Ahmedabad team is in eighth place in the table with 8 points to their tally.
We Are Still Believing - Andy Flower
Speaking in RCB's preview of the match, Andy Flower acknowledged that their playoff hopes were still alive but stated that they would have liked to be in a much better position. He highlighted the importance of maintaining hope and belief despite the current situation.
"Our playoff hopes are still alive and that's a brilliant position to be in. Obviously, we would have liked to be in a much closer position than we are but the hope and chances are still there. And we are still believing," Andy Flower said in the video.

The 56-year-old praised his bowling unit for their aggressive approach in the last three games and hoped to see that once again. Flower expressed confidence in their batter's ability to perform in the middle.
"Our batsmen will definitely be looking forward to batting in the middle. I have noticed is that our fast bowling unit has been really attacking in nature and I would like to see that once again," he further added.
In their previous Bengaluru match, the teams collectively scored over 500 runs. The Hyderabad team scored a record-breaking total of 287 runs in their allotted 20 overs. The Bengaluru team managed to score 262/7. RCB aims to bounce back and secure a victory in their upcoming encounter at home.
