Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) is only one step away from winning their second IPL title. They started the IPL 2026 season as the defending champions, and now, they are dreaming of another silverware.

Ahead of the IPL 2026 grand finale, the Bengaluru city police have issued some advisories for the people in Bengaluru. The police have urged the fans to maintain peace and law after the announcement of the match result.

In the final, RCB will be up against Shubman Gill’s Gujarat Titans. Ahead of the match, RCB is considered the favourite to claim the trophy. According to the Indian Express, the Bengaluru city police have restricted all kinds of public celebrations, bike rallies, speeding, unnecessary honking, and even match screenings publicly without any prior permissions.

The police have been taking a bunch of precautionary measures from the lessons they have received from last year’s tragic incident. Last year, RCB won their first-ever IPL title, waiting after 18 years. To make the occasion grand, the franchise arranged a rally on the road with the fans, followed by a ceremony at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium.

A chaotic celebration caused 11 deaths in 2025

A countless number of fans gathered on the road to become a part of the celebration. The situation gradually went out of control. The moment of joy was cast with grief as 11 fans lost their lives because of a stampede incident outside the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium.

Nobody wants the repetition of the incident. So, the Bengaluru city police have issued some advisories for the public in advance. The police have also instructed the public to react sensibly to any kind of social media post that contains provocative posts, hateful messages, or rumors.

  • After the final match result is announced, the public should not engage in any kind of celebrations in public places.
  • LED walls facing roads shall not be put up without prior permission from the concerned authorities, and the existing LED walls Match shall not be played.
  • Screens must not be installed outside malls, pubs, or other places in a manner visible to the public for viewing the final match.
  • Bursting crackers and using dangerous materials is prohibited.
  • Peace and discipline must be maintained in crowded areas.
  • Instructions and guidance issued by the traffic police must be strictly followed.
  • Bike rallies, over-speeding, stunts, misuse of horns, and road blockages are prohibited.
  • People are advised not to consume alcohol in public places and create disturbances, engage in fights, or behave indecently.
  • Provocative posts, hateful messages, or rumors should not be shared on social media.
  • Under the pretext of the match result, fans of other teams should not be provoked, insulted, or engage in behavior that may lead to fights.
