The RCB star said that the team aimed to stay ahead of the game by saving wickets. Jacks also expressed surprise at reaching the milestone of a century, saying he realized he was scoring a century only after hitting a boundary.

Will Jacks talks about his crazy knock and Virat Kohli's help vs GT

Jacks was happy with his dramatic transformation from struggling to find form to feeling unstoppable on the field, and big credit goes to Kohli. He told his RCB teammate Cameron Green: “Crazy innings I think just to go from not being able to hit the ball literally and then feel like I could hit anything.”

On being asked about the advice given by Virat Kohli during their unbeaten partnership of 166 runs off 74 balls against GT, Jack told Green: “He was batting well against spin and he guided me on how the pitch is behaving. He was kind of giving me hints on how to play the spin. Firstly, he told me he was reading Rashid Khan well, so he was like I can take him down which helped me.”

He signed off by saying: “I'm still trying to be positive because that's obviously what we have to do. He's chasing 200, he can't just knock it around. I think he's got so much experience he was kind of talking me through. Amazing to bat with. I learned a lot there and I feel very lucky to harness it like that with him. Very special.”
