Revealed: Who are the impact players nominated by SRH and LSG in match 7 of IPL 2025

In the 7th match of the Indian Premier League 2025 (IPL 2025), the Pat Cummins-led Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) are taking on the Rishabh Pant-led Lucknow Super Giants (LSG).

The SRH vs. LSG Indian Premier League 2025 clash is being played at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Uppal, Hyderabad, on Thursday, March 27.

Sunrisers are heading into the IPL match on the back of a stunning 44-run win over the Rajasthan Royals and Lucknow Super Giants are entering the match following their loss in a nail-biting clash to Delhi Capitals.

When these two teams faced each other last time in IPL 2024, the Sunrisers Hyderabad humiliated Lucknow Super Giants and registered a 10-wicket win with 62 balls remaining.

That match led to a heated chat between LSG owner Sanjiv Goenka and skipper KL Rahul with the latter departing the franchise. At the auction, LSG tried to build a new team and spent a whopping INR 27 crore on 'captain' Rishabh Pant.

From last year's match against SRH, only two LSG bowlers - Ravi Bishnoi and Ayush Badoni - will take the field on Thursday and things are going to be even tougher for them with an injury-hit pace-bowling unit.

Travishek (Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma) will once again go all guns blazing along with Heinrich Klaasen and Ishan Kishan to better SRH's head-to-head record against LSG, which currently is in the favour of the Super Giants (3-1).

IPL 2025: Lucknow Super Giants win the toss and opt to field

Speaking about his toss decision, LSG skipper Rishabh Pant said that they would look to bowl out SRH early and chase down whatever target they get. He stated:

"We will bowl first. I think we got to get them out early and look to chase the target. It depends on the team combination, that's why we want to bowl first. We have the batting to chase it down. The only change is Avesh comes back, Shahbaz misses out. We gonna chase whatever they score, doesn't matter."

Meanwhile, SRH captain Pat Cummins said that he is hopeful of his team posting a big score on the board. He stated:

"It doesn't change the way our boys go about it, we always try to be positive. It's great fun. You know what you are signing up for coming into this tournament. Even going for 10 or 11 runs in an over, that can be match winning on somedays. We want to win games as a team and do well as a bowling unit. Hopefully we score big. We are playing with the same team like the other day."
