Lucknow Super Giants have suffered a massive setback as their in-form batting all-rounder Mitchell Marsh is not available for their crucial IPL 2025 game against Gujarat Titans on Saturday, April 12, at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow.

After winning the toss and opting to bowl first against the Gujarat Titans, the Lucknow Super Giants captain, Rishabh Pant, has confirmed that Mitchell Marsh, who is currently the third leading run-scorer in the ongoing IPL 2025 with 265 runs in five games so far, is not available for the home match due to family reasons.

Pant revealed that Mitchell Marsh’s daughter is not well, and that’s why he has taken the break from the home match against the GT. The LSG skipper also confirmed that Himmat Singh replaced the Australian all-rounder in the playing XI against the Titans for the 26th IPL 2025 match in Lucknow.

The star wicketkeeper-batter also revealed why Lucknow Super Giants opted to bowl first against the Titans, saying the pitch looks good and they want to make the most of the home conditions to add two more points to their tally. Pant also noted that the LSG team is in good form, winning their last two matches in the ongoing IPL 2025, and for which he credited his bowlers.
