Indian wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant has been named the brand ambassador of the Indian state Uttarakhand. Pant was born in the Haridwar city of the north Indian state.
Although Pant has played for the Delhi state team in domestic cricket, his roots in his native place are something that keeps him attached to it.

The 24-year-old thanked the Uttarakhand CM for the new role and posted an encouraging message for the youth of the state.
“Thank you @pushkardhami ji for giving me this opportunity, It is no doubt a great feeling and also a huge responsibility. My message to all the young folks is that, you can achieve anything you want as long as you believe in yourself and set your mind to it and work hard,” Pant tweeted on Thursday.
Pant has played 31 Tests, 27 ODIs and 54 T20 Internationals for the senior Indian men’s team. He is regarded as one of the greatest finishers who can snatch the game from the opposition in any given format of the game.
Pant has scored five Test hundreds at the age of 24 in Australia, England, South Africa and India. He became the first Asian wicketkeeper-batter to score centuries in ODIs and Tests after achieving his maiden ODI century in the series-decider match against England at Old Trafford.
Pant led India during the five-match home T20I series against South Africa after KL Rahul suffered an injury on the eve of the series opener.
