In match no.68 of the TATA Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026, between the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and the Punjab Kings (PBKS) at the Ekana Stadium, Lucknow. Arjun Tendulkar, who made his debut for the Super Giants, was denied his first wicket for the franchise by his own captain, Rishabh Pant, in his very first over.
After all the 13 matches, warming the bench, Arjun Tendulkar is playing the final game of the season for LSG. He has been under the scanner due to his father’s achievements in the game of cricket. He has always been in the shadow of Sachin Tendulkar and has been judged as per his father’s level.
Arjun Tendulkar went whiskers away from his first LSG wicket
He came into the bowl in the very next over after the power play and nearly got the wicket of Prabhsimran Singh, as the left-arm pacer bowled a bouncer to the wicket-keeper batter who gloved it to Rishabh Pant, who dived towards his left and dropped a tough catch in the game. The incident happened on the 6.4th over of the match.

Arjun Tendulkar looked dejected after the catch drop, and even Rishabh Pant also knew that he should have done better and taken the catch, which could have turned the course of the match, as Prabhsimran Singh has been taking down the LSG bowlers as of now. After the catch drop, Arjun Tendulkar went for 14 runs in his second over.

Josh Inglis stands tall for LSG
After being asked to bat first, the fiery innings from Ayush Badoni of 43 runs, who was out for a brain-fade moment with a brilliant stumping from Prabhsimran Singh. Yet again, it was Josh Inglis who saved the day for the Super Giants.

Inglis played a knock of 72 runs and a finishing touch from Abdul Samad, scoring 37 runs and helping LSG to post 196/6 in their 20 overs. Yuzvendra Chahal was the pick of the bowlers for 24/2 in his four overs.
Shreyas Iyer and Prabhsimran Singh are rebuilding the innings
Prabhsimran Singh is currently batting at 43 runs and was dropped on the score of 21 runs. Fielding has been a problem for many sides this season of the IPL. However, after the lifeline, the keeper batter went all guns blazing and was nearing his half-century in the game, alongside his captain, Shreyas Iyer.
After the two quick wickets from LSG pacer Mohammed Shami, who picked Priyansh Arya for a golden duck, and then the dangerous-looking Cooper Connolly, who was back for 18 runs on the night. With 22/2, Prabhsimran and Shreyas have now stiched a 88 runs partnership between them and are inching closer to the run chase.
