The India National Cricket Team is playing a warm-up match against the Sri Lanka Cricket XI side ahead of the two-match Test series, which is scheduled to take place on August 15th. During the warm-up match, Rishabh Pant and Dhruv Jurel failed to score good runs in the game as they were dismissed cheaply.

Dhruv Jurel also fails in warm-up game
Dhruv Jurel, who is also expected to be a pillar in the middle and lower middle order, failed in the warm-up as he scored just one run. Jurel tried to play the ball on the back foot, and the ball went in the air, providing a simple catch at the short square leg area. Ramesh Mendis picked up both the wickets of the wicket-keepers.
Jurel has been a fine player in the traditional format of the game. Previously, in the List A games against the Sri Lanka A side, he scored an unbeaten 141 runs back in June and scored a fifty in the second unofficial multi-day game. The keeper batter will believe that it is just one bad day, and he will surely make a comeback once the Test series starts.
Ravindra Jadeja showcases experience
The Men in Blue, after two wickets, have been in deep trouble as Ravindra Jadeja is still at the crease and all-rounder Manav Suthar has been with him for long now. The former has scored 36 runs off 75 deliveries; he will look to pile up runs as much as possible to provide him with confidence ahead of the Test match, as he did not play the last Test.
For India, only two batters so far have batted well, and they are back in the pavilion, with KL Rahul scoring a gritty 40 runs, who has been leading the side in the warm-up game, and another batter from Karnataka, Devdutt Padikkal, played a knock of 103 runs off 121 balls, smashing 14 boundaries and was retired out. The two stitched a 96-run partnership between them.
