The India National Cricket Team is currently playing against Sri Lanka in the second Test match at the Sinhalese Sports Club Cricket Ground (SSC) in Colombo. However, with all going in India’s favour in the 2nd Test match, they had some sad news with Rishabh Pant being retired out in the match, as batting coach Sitanshu Kotak shared an update on the batter.
The Men in Blue are leading 0-1 in the series; the Men in Blue started the second match on a high, and Shubman Gill’s side have scored 300 runs after the end of Day 1’s play. Devdutt Padikkal scored another century in the series and achieved many milestones as he played a knock of 117 runs.
Rishabh Pant to play on Day 2
Rishabh Pant was struck on his left wrist by a sharp bouncer by Sri Lankan pacer Lahiru Kumara and appeared to be in considerable discomfort. He went back to the pavilion for 3 runs. After the end of Day 1, the batting coach, while speaking to the media, provided an update on the Southpaw's majority of the injury.
Rishabh should be fine to bat tomorrow, said Sitanshu Kotak while speaking at the post match press-conference.
