India's star wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant played a brilliant innings on Day 4 of the first Test between India and New Zealand at Bengaluru. It was a typical innings from Rishabh Pant filled with strokes and attacking intent.

The left-handed batter came in to bat at the start of the day after Virat Kohli had been dismissed off the last ball on Day 3. There were speculations about Pant's fitness earlier after he had injured his knee while wicketkeeping in New Zealand's first innings.

But he got back on the field to bat at his usual position and looked at ease right from the start. Pant formed a great partnership with Sarfaraz Khan to bail India out of huge trouble. Unfortunately, he was dismissed just one run short of a well deserved hundred by the fast bowler William O'Rourke.

The twitter was buzzing after his brilliant knock and praised him for yet another magnificent Test innings. Despite his wicket, the users hailed him as the greatest wicketkeeper to have ever played for India.

Rishabh Pant was dismissed for 99 off 105 balls with 9 fours and 5 sixes. His entertaining innings stunned the crowd, however, he received a rousing reception from the spectators at M Chinnaswamy Stadium.

It was the seventh time that Pant has been dismissed in the nineties. But the wicketkeeper-batter had played a brilliant innings to take India into a fighting position.
