Mohammed Shami is quite popular for his good length deliveries, however, he has thrown a bouncer for Rohit Sharma in a chat show. Mohammed Shami has revealed that Rohit Sharma does not like to play his deliveries during the nets.
Mohammed Shami is a prominent pacer for Team India and has been a regular member of all three formats. He has played a lot of matches under skipper Rohit Sharma's tenure.
In the last few years, Shami, Mohammed Siraj, and Jasprit Bumrah have dominated world cricket and attacked batters from all over the world.
Interestingly, Mohammed Shami was also part of Asia Cup 2023 last year and helped India to win the title by crushing Sri Lanka in the final.
Later, he also did an impeccable job in the ICC ODI World Cup 2023 with Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj. India finished as runners-up and dominated every other team till the final, where they lost to Australia.

During a chat show with journalist Shubhankar Mishra, Mohammed Shami revealed every Indian player is scared of facing him in the nets. Shami also added that Indian skipper Sharma dislikes facing him in the nets.
"I have a healthy competition with Virat Kohli. We like to challenge each other. He likes to hit me and I like to dismiss him. So there is a friendship and bonding with Virat Kohli", the Indian pacer said in Hindi.
"It takes effort and increases our focus and interests. And we enjoy such things. But Rohit Sharma also rejects facing me. He always says, 'I don't wanna face him', he further added.

Notably, Mohammed Shami has been out of the field for almost 8 months. The right-arm pacer has not returned to the field since featuring in ICC ODI World Cup 2023.
Due to injuries, Shami missed the India vs Afghanistan series, IPL 2024, and also ICC T20 World Cup 2024. He was part of Gujarat Titans in IPL 2024 and since he could not be part of the tournament, he was not considered for selection in the T20 World Cup.
Also, he was under rehabilitation during the period. Jasprit Bumrah, Arshdeep Singh, and Mohammed Siraj were the three key pacers for Team India in the World Cup.
India won T20 World Cup in June in the absence of Mohammed Shami
Notably, Rohit Sharma & Co. won the title by defeating South Africa in the final last month. It was a great achievement for the team in the West Indies, as they had lost the ODI World Cup 2023 final last year in November at home.
Mohammed Shami showed a stunning form in that tournament by picking multiple five-wicket hauls. In the semi-final, he clinched a 7-wicket haul against New Zealand to register the best-ever show by an Indian pacer in an ODI. However, Indian bowlers failed to attack Australia in the final.
