It is always very hard to pick only one between Rohit and Virat, but Azam takes very little to mention his favorite player’s name, and it is Rohit. The Pakistani keeper-batter mentioned that he admired Virat Kohli very much, but he is a Rohit Sharma fan.
Azam Khan ends Virat Kohli vs Rohit Sharma debate
In this quick-fire round video, Azam Khan had to go through some extremely challenging comparisons. Along with the active cricketers, there are multiple cricket legends in the video, which has made the challenge tougher. At the beginning of the video, the keeper-batter declared himself a Rohit fan, and he mostly kept voting for the former India cricketer. But, there is one certain name in the video, which led Azam to push his favorite cricketer into the second place.
“Personally, I like Virat Kohli, no, I mean Rohit Sharma,” he said.
Rohit was at the top of the list of Azam
After comparison with Virat Kohli, there were legends like Kumar Sangakara, Brian Lara, AB de Villiers, Babar Azam, Joe Root, and Ricky Ponting. Azam keeps placing Rohit above all the players. Even when Babar Azam’s name is mentioned in the video, the keeper-batter mentions Rohit within a few seconds.
He struggled a little bit during the Rohit vs Brian Lara comparison. But it was Rohit Sharma in the end. For the last set to comparison, it was Rohit vs Sachin Tendulkar. Now, the video has gotten more intense. Rohit Sharma is his favorite cricketer, but as the name of the opposing candidate is Sachin Tendulkar, he had no option but to choose Sachin Tendulkar.

For the final set of the comparison, it was Sachin Tendulkar vs Sir Vivian Richards. It was a hard question for the 27-year-old cricketer. “I haven't seen much of Viv Richards, but I have heard he was a great player and he changed the game. But I personally think Sachin Tendulkar,” Azam Khan said.
So, the winner of this rapid-fire round video was Sachin Tendulkar. Though Rohit Sharma dominated for most of it. In the last couple of rounds, Sachin came and stole the show completely.

In recent times, Azam Khan has been spotted in multiple podcasts and online discussions across social media platforms. However, his form has not been pretty good for the last couple of years now. In the recently concluded Pakistan Super League 2026 (PSL 2026), the keeper-batter managed to score 236 runs in the tournament while averaging 33.71 for the Karachi Kings.
In the ILT20 2025, his batting average was only 10. He last played for the national side during the T20 World Cup 2026, where he got to play only one match, which was against the USA. Azam was dismissed for a golden duck in this game.
