India National Cricket Team modern-day batting great, Rohit Sharma, who is also affectionately termed 'Shaana' at times by fans, has taken a savage dig at the England National Cricket Team.
Rohit Sharma took a dig at the Ben Stokes-led England after their loss in the ongoing Ashes series against the Australia National Cricket Team Down Under.
Australia mein khelna sabse difficult hai - Rohit Sharma
The English team entered the Ashes 2025-26 with high hopes as they had some supremely talented players in the squad and were further helped by the injuries suffered by Australian players.
However, they still struggled to seize the moments and lost the first three Tests on the trot against an Australian team that was not at full strength, to lose the series within 11 days of the play.
Australia at home in Test cricket are a force to reckon with, and India were the only team that troubled them for the longest time, but the Aussies also beat India during the last home series.
Meanwhile, speaking at an event in Gurugram on Sunday, Rohit Sharma stated that playing in Australia is quite difficult before taking a savage dig at the English team. Rohit Sharma said:
“Australia mein khelna sabse difficult hai, aap England ko puch he sakte ho (playing in Australia is the most difficult, you can ask England about it)."

Playing in Australia would be difficult, but Rohit Sharma, being a great batter, has showcased sheer dominance in the country over the years. Just recently, he registered the scores of 73 and 121* in the three-match ODI series against Australia to seal the Player of the Series award.
Can’t wait for the build-up for the next time England goes to Australia - Aakash Chopra
Former India opener, Aakash Chopra, also took a ruthless dig at England losing the Ashes, saying that they have embraced ‘entertainment’ over ‘results’ by displaying Bazball.
"Can’t wait for the build-up for the next time England goes to Australia. Surely, that’ll be the best English team to play #TheAshes," the cricketer-turned-commentator wrote on X.
"And the English cricket fans will lap it up can’t blame them either…they’ve embraced ‘entertainment’ over ‘results’ already."

England legends slam Ben Stokes & Co.
Meanwhile, former England skippers Nasser Hussain and Alastair Cook were not happy men after England's loss, and they also slammed the Ben Stokes-led side.
“If you had told the England hierarchy here and back home that Josh Hazlewood isn’t going to bowl a ball, Nathan Lyon is going to get injured, Cummins is gonna miss a couple of Test matches, Smith is gonna be out, they’d have gone ‘wow.’ Actually, we have ended up getting exactly what we’ve had virtually on every other Ashes tour, and that’s what disappoints me,” Hussain said on Sky Sports.
“Australia deserve it. England will feel an air of regret over these three games," Sir Alastair Cook said on TNT Sports.
